This was a mystery quilt that was sponsored

by Pieceful Mountain Quilt Guild.  

We were given the instructions

monthly until we completed the quilt.

It is a fun way to construct a quilt. 

 You are not sure what it will look like until you finish it.

I finally got it together to enter a competition in
Quilting Arts Magazine.
My giraffe was selected for publication.
I am thrilled.
It seems like I have finally been validated.
What an honor!

I made a sun print with the fabric using plants in the yard.

I used a photo I had of Emma to make a drawing on tear away paper. 

 I put the paper sketch on the fabric and used my sewing machine to go over the lines of the drawing.  

The paper dissolved in water and I was left with

this image.
